Baldwin Park
This is one of the parks my 4-year-old and I visit most often. It’s located in Downtown Manassas, If you’re visiting for the first time, the museum is worth exploring before or after the playground. Read our guide to Why the Manassas Museum’s “Open for Business” Exhibit Is Worth Visiting.
There are three separate play areas designed for different age groups. One area includes a variety of swings, two spring riders, a large play structure, and a group spring platform. Younger children have their own smaller play structure with toddler-sized slides. One of my favorite features is the train-themed play structure, where each train car offers a different activity for kids to explore. The engine of the train doubles as a slide, making it a fun option for toddlers.

One of the things I appreciate most about Dean Park is how versatile it is. Nelson Park
Nelson Park is one of the most peaceful parks I’ve visited in Manassas. It’s not a playground park—instead, it’s the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy a quiet lunch, read a book, or simply relax outdoors. Mature trees provide plenty of shade, and the open green space gives the park a calm, garden-like atmosphere.
